From Zero to 18.4K: How Strategic SEO Boosted a SAAS Company’s Traffic

One of our clients, a growing SAAS company, wanted to drive traffic to their website.

Through strategic SEO tactics and a focused content strategy, we were able to help them achieve remarkable results, increasing their traffic from 0 to an impressive 18.4K monthly visitors.

The Challenge

The client, a SAAS startup, had developed an innovative product but struggled to gain visibility in search engine results.

Without a strong online presence, they were missing out on valuable leads and potential customers.

Originally, they had more than 10 blog posts on the site. But none of them helped the client gain monthly visits.

With this, their goal was clear: to increase website traffic and establish themselves as a key player in their niche.

Our Approach

I started with my usual site audit.

Upon joining the company, their initial product was a website builder. However, the blogs they’ve written were all about restaurants.

In their defense, these were the establishments they wanted to partner with.

The idea was to feature them on the website like a magazine and eventually turn them into customers.

But, this strategy wasn’t working.

True, the featured restaurants were happy to gain additional publicity. However, they weren’t ready to convert into paying clients just yet, which means the company was wasting resources for more than a year.

It’s important to note that the client was paying a content writer as well.

But, this writer had no SEO background, so none of the blogs were targeting the right keywords nor the right audience to begin with.

Content Strategy

This led me to conduct thorough research into the client’s industry and target audience.

By understanding the topics and keywords relevant to their niche, I developed a content strategy that would resonate with their audience and improve their search engine rankings.

I archived all their previous works and started creating a content tree, along with a yearly publishing schedule.

Keyword Targeting

Using the insights gained from my research, I identified high-potential keywords with relatively low competition to strategically incorporate these keywords into every article.

At this point, my aim was to establish them as a resource for their niche.

Interlinking

Now that I have written and published plenty of data-driven content, I implemented an interlinking strategy to further enhance our SEO efforts.

I interlinked relevant pages within the website to improve their site structure and make it easier for future users to explore.

Technical SEO

I scheduled a meeting with them to ask more about the site’s technicalities. That’s how I found out that their site map wasn’t submitted at all.

So I submitted the sitemap to Google Search Console myself, which helped the engine crawl and index their site more efficiently.

Backlinking

Leveraging my expertise in the industry, we identified relevant forums, topics, and communities where the company can contribute valuable insights. This allowed us to generate quality backlinks that boosted the site’s search engine rankings.

The Results

Our efforts yielded remarkable results. Within six months to a year, the website traffic soared from 0 to an impressive 18.4K monthly visitors.

Now, the website has 22K new users, with a 24-second average engagement time.

This significant increase in traffic improved the visibility of the business in search engine results, resulting in increased leads, and customer inquiries.
